Vacate, To Rejuvenate

Even as I write this blog, I am sitting in a villa on vacation! Vacation time with a family is critical for keeping the family balance.

Most times in a family, a large family especially, there are so many day to day tasks that come up that it seems very hard for one to stop it all and take a vacation. But it is, to me, a very necessary thing for all members of the family. One person told me this a while ago, and it really stuck with me - "If you work hard, you've got to play hard!" When you are person dedicated to work, when it is time to work, you also have to operate with the same commitment when it comes time to "play". A family needs their down time in order to recuperate from the everyday life mode. My Pastor (http://www.bishopwomack.com) even reminded me of this before - even God took time to rest! And if God needed rest, how much more do we.

So, the subject of this blog is really to encourage you to take that time of rest. It is good for the entire family. So what, you may miss out on making a few extra bucks on some deal... you will be better suited to more than make up for it after coming back from a vacation and will make even that much more. Vacation time even rests your mind and gives you a chance to reflect on some things and better prepare yourself mentally for what is coming up.

And speaking of the family, vacation time helps to strengthen the bond of the family unit. Time spent away from everyone else, but just enjoying each other and the time spent together goes a long way. During regular, everyday activities, many times a family each has their separate things doing, but the vacation time gets everybody on the same page of just enjoying themselves.

So, invest some time with your family. Enjoy the treasure that you already have in your family. Capture the present moment before it is too late and you wish that you spent more enjoyable time with them.
