Family Values

Not exactly the standard usage of the term "family values", but here is what I mean...

A family, whether it's a husband, wife and/or children, are not granted to everyone. There are many, many people out there that would love to have someone to come home to, to snuggle close to in bed, to talk to when there's a problem, to share joys with, to laugh at a funny joke, to watch a movie together with, to watch as they grow and mature, to be proud of their accomplishments, to discipline them when they do wrong, to see them start their own family, and so on and so on and so on... There are sooooooooooo many benefits to family life that it would be too much to list them all.

My point in this blog is that we really need to value family and what we have. Too often we don't see the value in something we already have... until it is no longer available to us. There's a saying - "The grass is always greener on the other side." We seem to think things that we don't really know about are better off than what we have. We need to really learn how to appreciate the family that we have and value them.

This is one principle I could share to having a Dynamic Family ~ Recognizing the value of the family you already have!

  1. Hi Memorial Maker,

Recognize the value of the family you already have! That statement is wise in its simplicity. I absolutely love my family - every last one of them. What makes them smile, makes me smile - sometimes. SMILE I speak with my mother like she lives down the street! It doesn't matter to me that she's on the west coast and I am on the east coast. I spoke with my sister today - we talk often - but today she said "Stan it's just so good to talk with you." We take so many things and people for granted in family. I agree, appreciate the family you have.
